Tokyo Marui HK417 Recoil Shock Next Generation is a metal-bodied, next-generation electric airsoft replica from the original developer of the electric airsoft gun. The Marui Next Generation AEG system has been completely redesigned to more closely simulate the functions and behavior of a real firearm. The “Recoil Shock” mentioned in the model name refers to the built-in recoil mechanism, which produces a far more pronounced electric recoil compared to the familiar “click” of traditional AEGs.
The magazine includes a follower lever that signals the mechanism when the magazine is empty. This gives the HK417 a PTW-style feature: the rifle stops firing realistically when the magazine runs dry. After inserting a fresh magazine, the rifle can be “reloaded” by tapping the bolt release, after which it will fire normally until the next magazine is empty.
The Tokyo Marui HK417 Recoil Shock Next Generation uses Marui 8.4V Recoil Shock batteries, which fit inside the stock using their dedicated connector.
